Topic: Worship

Bible Text: Revelation 5 | Preacher: Evangelist Neil Smith | I was speaking to a Queensland evangelist yesterday, who is at the 2021 National Baptist Fellowship meetings in Toowoomba, Queensland. Not many are there due to lockdowns in several states, but he had opportunity to preach twice. He sent me the links, and I thought that this message was a good follow up to our message on Sunday concerning worship. It also was preached this last Sunday. We will return to our spiritual gifts series next week, the good Lord willing.

Bible Text: Genesis 8:20,21 | Preacher: Pastor Gifford Dennison | Series: Genesis | One well known doctrinal statement asks "What is the chief end of man?" and then answers: "Man’s chief end is to glorify God, and to enjoy him for ever." The chief end refers to man's greatest goal or priority. The answer incorporates what worship is intended to be. Yet the word "worship" has a foggy clouded meaning in the minds of many believers.

How does the Bible direct us to worship? As Noah disemb-ark-s, the first thing he does is worship God. This morning we will let Noah show us what worship is, and surprisingly perhaps, show us what it isn't.
