A Church that is strong must understand what it believes. Our doctrinal beliefs are based on the Word of God. We accept the Bible’s self witness that “All Scriptures is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:16,17)
We believe the Bible, consisting of the Old and New Testaments, is the verbally inspired Word of God, is inerrant in the original writings, and should be upheld as the supreme and final authority in faith and life.
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ was the only begotten Son, born of the virgin Mary, and is truly the God-man. We believe in His crucifixion for our sins; His burial, His bodily resurrection, His ascension into heaven, and present life there as high priest and advocate for us.
We believe the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person, possessing all the attributes of God and qualities of personhood: By Him believers are called, regenerated, baptized into Christ, indwelt, sealed, filled for service, and continually sanctified.
We believe in the direct creation of the universe and man by God, according to the Genesis account of creation, apart from the process of evolution.
We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death.
We believe that the salvation of sinners is by grace through the mediatorial work of the Lord Jesus Christ,We believe that He died for our sins according to the Scriptures as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice. All who believe in Him are justified by His shed blood and have eternal life (Ephesians 2:8).
We believe the new birth is a new creation in Christ Jesus.
We believe that the Local Church is an independent and self governing company of baptized believers, associated by a covenant and faith, and fellowship with other churches of like faith and order.
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water to show forth, as a solemn and beautiful emblem, our faith in the crucified, buried and risen Saviour.
We believe the Lord's Supper is a church ordinance to be observed by faithful and obedient Christians in remembrance of our Lord's death until He comes.
We believe in the blessed hope, which is the catching up of all believers, living and dead at Christ's imminent return.
We believe in the resurrection of both saved and lost; the saved unto the resurrection of life and the lost unto damnation.
We believe Satan is real and a spiritual being, a declared enemy of God and man.
We believe the apostolic sign gifts of the Holy Spirit, such as speaking in tongues and the gift of healing were temporary.
