Topic: Christmas

1. This time of year is a time of Anticipation.
2. The Anticipation of the Christ's Arrival was based on God's Ability to Announce the future.

a) God guaranteed His Accuracy to foretell the future.

3. Jesus could not naturally Arrange the fulfillment of these prophecies in His life if He was a fake.
4. So what was the Aim of fulfilling all these prophecies?

a) And in accordance with ancient prophecies He rose again from the dead showing that His payment for sin was Approved from Above.
b) What marvellous Assurance is ours when we rely upon His promises of salvation.

1. Did "Firstborn" mean merely that Jesus was the first in a Progression of siblings?

2. In both Greek and Jewish culture, the firstborn was a position of Privilege.

3. The title "firstborn" had more to do with being first in Place than being first in time.

4. The "firstborn" referred to the Pre-eminent One.

5. He is a Participant in Creation; and therefore Pre-existent.

a) He Preserves all things.
b) He is the Perfect image of God.

6. He has Power over death by His resurrection from the dead.

7. He became the great Peacemaker.
