- a) A pearl is formed at the cost of the life of the oyster, so the church is formed through the Injury and death of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- b) The pearl is a gem of Indivisibility and Illustrates unity.
- c) The pearl is formed from the secretion of a living thing, and we are formed by the blood of our Immortal Saviour.
