Kadesh is a place with a very clear theme - Judgement. It can mean judgment in the sense of making a judgment about something, or making a decision. It can also mean judgment in the sense of a discipline imposed. Altogether there are 27 references to Kadesh in the Old Testament, which we won't cover exhaustively, that speak to us about the importance of making right decisions.
