The Parable of the Leaven - Part 1
- 1. All throughout Scripture, leaven is a symbol of sin and that which is unleavened Pictures that which is without sin.
- a) The first time leaven is mentioned in the Bible is when two angelic Pilgrims came to Lot's house.
- b) The second time that leaven is mentioned is during the Passover when God was going to deliver Israel out from the land of Egypt.
- c) What is the leaven of the Pharisees?
- d) With the Sadducees, however, their Presumptions were wrong.
- e) The Leaven of Herod the tetrarch of the Provinces of Perea and Galilee.
- f) The Leaven of Persevering in living by the Law.
- g) The leaven of taking Pleasure in another's harm or misfortune.
