- a) Daniel's petition is not presented on the basis of his people's pious Performance.
- i) Never Presume God is unjust when facing Pressures.
- b) Daniel appealed to the Perfections of God.
- i) He claimed God's promise to Pardon.
- ii) He was concerned that God's Name be Promoted through His people and His place.
